The Dominican national basketball team, now without its star player Al Horford and star coach John Calipari will be at the Jenaro “Tuto” Marchand Continental Cup to be played in Puerto Rico at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan. The DR faces Brazil today, Thursday 22 August, then Puerto Rico, Canada and Argentina during the 22-26 August series. The games are a warm up for the World Cup Qualifier that follows from 31 August to 11 September in Venezuela. In Venezuela the DR will again vie for one of four world championship slots. The Dominican team is now coached by Orlando Antigua, assistant coach to John Calipari.

DR vs. Brazil, 22 August at 6pm.
DR vs. Puerto Rico, 23 August at 8:30pm
DR vs. Canada, 24 August at 8:30pm
DR vs. Argentina, 25 August at 8:30pm
