Rains to continue

The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reported yesterday, Sunday 25 August that scattered showers would continue during the day today, Monday 26 August with thunder and lightning, mainly during the afternoon. The rains are caused by a tropical wave located to the south of the Dominican Republic. The tropical wave does not represent a threat, since most of its cloud activity is over the open seas. The rains will fall mostly over the center of the country and along the frontier. Temperatures will continue to be hot and could go as high as 35 C. (95 F).
