The offices of the Prime Minister of Haiti and the Minister of Foreign Relations of the Dominican Republic have announced the conclusion of the First Bilateral Business Summit in Miami. The meeting was sponsored by Florida International University’s Faculty of Public and International Affairs. During the summit, both Dominican and Haitian business leaders analyzed the challenges that they face and they explored opportunities for improving bilateral trade between both markets. Listin Diario says that the Dominican authorities have not discarded the possibility of filing a complaint with the World Trade Organization about the import restrictions placed on Dominican products last month.
