According to the National Drug Control Agency (DNCD), a Romanian and three Dominicans were arrested in El Limon, Samana with a kilo of a substance thought to be cocaine that was hidden in a hole in front of a bar.
Those arrested are Romanian Adrian Dragan, aged 29 and Dominicans Leonardo Jackson (known as Cuquin), also 29, Rafael Castillo, 39, and Jorge Luis Cepeda Polanco.
The drugs were wrapped in palm tree bark and were buried in a hole nearby.
The operation was carried out following a tip-off, and the drugs sent to the National Institute of Forensic Science (INACIF) for tests.
