High tech studies for Boca Chica students

It’s the university in their backyard, and now the Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA) is reaching out to convince teenagers in Boca Chica to study high tech.

ITLA has announced a new free training program in information technology and communications and English language for Boca Chica residents. The plan is to reduce the digital divide and attract students who have shown an interest in learning the operational management of computers.

University rector Jose Armando Tavarez said that Bocachtec is an outreach program aimed at the whole community of Boca Chica, including people who have not yet completed high school.
