The VF USA Corporation, the Taiwanese company Hong Fu Group and the Tamboril Free Zone Park will install a nine-building complex for shoes and training (tennis) shoes. The announcement was made by executives of the companies and Micalo Bermudez during a press conference at the Presidential Palace yesterday, Wednesday 4 September. The business executives were joined by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Jose del Castillo Savinon and Luisa Fernandez who heads the National Council of Free Zones and Exports. The US$35 million investment is expected to create 5,500 jobs in the first stage and reach 11,500 when fully operational.
