The team did accomplish its main objective of participating in the tournament, which was to be in the top four and win a slot to the 2014 FIBA World Championship. The Dominican team will now play Argentina. Puerto Rico will now play Mexico for the championship. Mexico defeated Argentina yesterday, Tuesday 10 September 76-70. The four teams won the right to play in the 2014 FIBA World Championship.
