Two of the three surviving quintuplets, both girls, born on Saturday 7 September in Santo Domingo are now breathing independently and are improving. The other, a boy, is still on a ventilator.
The two off the ventilator are still in intensive care but are now drinking breast milk and are expected to stay there for five weeks.
