The Ministry of Labor has authorized a minimum wage of RD$8,220 a month for non-profit organizations. This is the wage that is used by non-profits that include condominiums, education, health, and rehabilitation organizations. In the case of apprentices, the wage will be paid depending on the number of hours worked, based on the established minimum wage. The Ministry of Labor says that any worker who at the time of the approval of the measure was already paid more will continue to earn this higher wage.
