The music concert of the year in Puerto Plata, this year’s Dominican Republic Jazz Festival is bringing former New York Yankee and critically acclaimed jazz musician Bernie Williams, along with jazz legends Abraham Laboriel, Sr. (Mexico), Marco Pignataro (Italy), Ramon Vazquez (Puerto Rico), Grammy Award winner Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez (Cuba), Rufus Reid (USA), George Garzone (USA), Billy Drummond (USA), Alex Acuna (Peru), Richie Flores (Puerto Rico), and the Latin Grammy Award winners Johnny Ventura (Dominican Republic) and Milly Quezada (Dominican Republic). The festival will take place from Thursday 31 October to Sunday 3 November in Puerto Plata, Sosua and Cabarete.
Now in its 17th year, the Festival is the longest-running jazz event in the Dominican Republic. The event is a free, multi-day festival that combines culture, entertainment and music education while featuring some of the world’s best Latin jazz groups and musicians.
The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and JetBlue with the support of local businesses such as Millennium Resort & Spa, Sea Horse Ranch, Listin Diario and Cibao Recycling, as well as the Municipality of Sosua.

November 1 – Sosua, Hotel Casa Marina Amphitheater
November 2-3 – Cabarete, Cabarete Beach
