Political Parties receive money

The Central Electoral Board (JCE) has announced that they have handed out RD$67,086,957 to the political parties in compliance with the law to help finance their activities.

The checks were handed over to 26 political parties, the amount related to their performance in the elections last May.

According the JCE Finance Department, the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD), the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and the Social Democratic Reform Party (PRSC) each received RD$17,889,855.

The Democratic Alternative Movement (MODA) will receive RD$1,208,790, Social Democratic Institutional Block (BIS) RD$1,029,206 and the Revolutionary Social Democrats (PRSD) RD$932,611.

The Quisqueya Democratic Christian Party (PQDC) will receive RD$916,526, the Democratic Union Christian Party (UDC) RD$691,716, the Dominican Humanist Party (PHD) RD$681,451 and the National Progressive Force Party (FNP) RD$670,361.

In addition the Civic Renovation Party (PCR) will receive RD$613,612, the Dominican Workers Party (PTD) RD$605,092, the Popular Christian Party (PPC) RD$568,624, the Liberal Action Party (PAL) RD$558,910, the Dominican Social Alliance Party RD$540,438, and the PASOVE RD$497,681.

The Party for National Unity (PUN) will receive RD$480,081, the Dominican Identity Party (PDI) RD$473,333, the Dominican Liberal Party (PLRD) RD$473,103, and the Popular Democratic Party (PDP) RD$452,005.

Finally the Dominicans for Change party (DXC) will receive RD$451,574, Popular Front RD$425,958, Alliance for Democracy (APD) RD$412,315, National Veterans and Civilians association (PNVC) RD$365,822, the Independent Revolutionary Party (PRI), RD$365,822, and the Independent Movement for Unity and Progress (MIUP), RD$2,361.
