A surely memorable concert will be held at the National Theater this evening, Thursday, 26 September. The National Symphony Orchestra will play with conductors Antonio Molina, Julio De Windt and Jacinto Gimbernard at 8:30pm at the theater’s Carlos Piantini Hall. The guest performer will be Dale Clevenger and the program includes music by Wagner, Tchaikovsky and Ravel, as well as two Dominican concerts by composers Aura Marina del Rosario and Bienvenido Bustamante.
Details of tonight’s program: Richard Wagner’s Overture to the Opera “The Mastersingers of Nuremberg,” Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings Op. 48, Aura Marina del Rosario’s “In a Bohio” (Symphonic Poem), Bienvenido Bustamante’s Suite Macorix Symphony, and Maurice Ravel’s Bolero.
