Enjoy the best of Dominican Fashion when Dominicana Moda kicks off on the runways set up at the Garden Tent of Santo Domingo’s Hotel Embajador for the eighth consecutive year. Organizers Mirka Morales, Socrates McKinney and Fidel Lopez announced that the event would be held from 21 to 26 October. There will be fashion shows by designers Leonel Lirio, Jose Jhan, Luis Dominguez, Sissy Bermudez, Giannina Azar, Larissa Salcedo, Cinthia Avelino, Jacqueline Then, Karlos Nunez, Modesta Castillo, Jusef Sanchez, Jose Duran and Moises Quesada. The brands Blue Country, Cosita Linda and emerging designers Nelson Tavares, Yndra Rodriguez, Keyther Estevez, Miguel Genao, Wilson Alcequiez, Vanessa Sanchez and Mayle Vasquez will be exhibiting their creations.
One of this year’s innovations is a fashion show with chef attire. There also will be a children’s clothes show.
For the international day, designers from Colombia and the Caribbean are participating, thanks to a strategic alliance with Pro Export-Colombia and Caribbean Export. This year, Sully Bonnelly will present his collection that will be sold at Jumbo superstores, while the Dominican Republic Center for Export and Investment (CEI-RD) will present the new Chacabana Cluster.
