High temperatures and rains to continue

The National Meteorological Office (ONAMET) says that the high temperatures will continue with isolated storms around the country.

They reiterated that the recent rains have been caused by the high humidity levels and a tropical wave over the Mona Passage. Rainfall will be most frequent in the east, north east, south east, central mountain area and along the border.

In addition they say they are watching a low-pressure area to the south/south east of the Cape Verde islands which has a medium chance (40%) of turning into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours and another low-pressure area to the south/ south east of Bermuda with a low probability (20%) of turning into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.
