September inflation at 0.49%

The Central Bank says the Consumer Price Index barely edged up 0.49% in September. The Central Bank says that for the nine months through September, it increased by 3.57%, keeping within the forecasted range made by the Central Bank. The Central Bank forecast that inflation would range from 1 to 5% in 2013. The Central Bank says that despite September being a big buying month because of the opening of school, prices remained stable. For the September 2012-September 2013 12-month period, inflation was at 5.13%, down from 5.30% for August.
