The embassies of Germany and Switzerland have announced a gala concert at the Palacio de Bellas Artes featuring the music of Richard Wagner. The event is set for Tuesday, 15 October at 8:30pm. Pianist Maria de Fatima Geraldes will play the music. Mezzo-soprano Anna Tonna and the first dancers of the National Ballet Stephanie Bauger and Jonathan Castillo will be appearing. “Dominican Republic is the ideal place for rediscovering Wagner,” said Gabriele Weber, minister counselor of the Embassy of Germany. The event is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Tourism, Board for Dance, CER-TV and leading German companies.
