The Meteorological Office (Onamet) says that a weather system over the north/north west of the country and the wind in from the east/south east will continue to create cloudy conditions and rain over the north east, north west, south east, south west, border area and the central mountain ranges.
They said there is a green alert for urban flooding in the provinces of La Altagracia (Higuey), La Romana, San Pedro de Macoris, Santo Domingo (including the National District), San Cristobal, Peravia (Bani), San Jose de Ocoa, Monsenor Nouel (Bonao) and Monte Plata in the next 24 hours.
