Surviving quintuplets leave hospital

The three surviving babies of a set of quintuplets born in early September left the Reynaldo Almanzar maternity hospital yesterday, Monday 21 October.

The babies, each weighing around one and a half kilos, were handed over to their parents Noelia Duarte and Julio Paniagua who will have a nurse to help them take care of the babies for a while.

Hospital director Rafael Draper said that the babies, who are now 44 days old, have overcome all their problems and were now drinking milk and breathing unassisted.

The parents thanked the doctors and hospital staff for their care of the babies.
