Catch the thrill of mountain climbing by going to see the film, “La Montana.” The movie was inspired by Dominican climbers Karim Mella, Ivan Gomez and Federico Jovine’s ascent of Mount Everest in 2011. The movie is showing in Dominican theaters. It tells the story of teenagers Luis Alfredo Feliz, Claudio Encarnacion and Yefri Feliz, residents of Nizao (San Cristobal) who, inspired by the Mount Everest climb, chose to do their own by climbing Pico Duarte.
