Agents from the Specialized Security Corps of Airports and Civil Aviation (CESAC), have confiscated 59.36 kilos of a substance thought to be cocaine at La Romana airport. It was found in the hold of an airplane belonging to Neos Air, which was due to leave for Milan.
At Punta Cana International Airport, CESAC agents found seven kilograms of what is thought to be cocaine taped to the bodies of Lidia Tejada and Angela Rosario Acosta, both Dominicans with Dutch nationality flying to Brussels on Jetair Fly. Lusset Ana Maria Rondei from Curacao and Nadja Joanis Demei from the Netherlands were also arrested in connection with this case.
