Armed individuals held up and robbed a minibus owned by the State Sugar Company (CEA) when it was taking employees from Santo Domingo to La Romana yesterday, Tuesday 29 October.
Two employees were hurt during the attack. Juan Decena Rijo, the driver and Isidro Castillo both suffered broken arms.
Decena Rijo said that the incident took place on kilometer 14 on the Autovia del Este when they stopped to let one employee off the bus. A heavily armed group of men entered, threw everyone off the minibus and drove away in it.
The Police are investigating the incident.
