The Emergency Operations Center (COE) reports that green alerts for potential landslides and urban and rural flooding are still in place for residents in low-lying areas near rivers and creeks in the provinces of Monte Plata, Monsignor Nouel (Bonao) and Greater Santo Domingo. Meanwhile, the National Meteorological Office (Onamet) says that the weather across the country will continue to be dominated by humidity and unstable conditions persisting over the area, combined with a low-pressure trough to the north of the island. Rains and thunderstorms are expected in the northeast, southeast, southwest, central mountains and along the border. They also issued a warning on the saturated conditions of the ground after all the recent rains.
