Police conclude investigation into Liriano Sanchez

The chief of the National Police, Major General Manuel Castro Castillo says that the investigations into the accusations against former Lieutenant Colonel Johan Liriano Sanchez and his apparent links to a criminal gang of drug traffickers and hit men who were operating from a farm on his property in San Cristobal, were carried out together with the Public Prosecution Service.

Liriano Sanchez served as the advisor to the former director of the National Drug Control Agency, the DNCD, Mayor General Rolando Rosado Mateo.

Castro Castillo clarified that the prosecution file includes 13 people and outlines the proof linking Sanchez to the gang. He said that the case was now closed as far as the police were concerned and it was up to the Public Prosecutors and the court to take over, according to the law.
