President Danilo Medina has decreed that this year’s 13th salary will be paid to public service workers and pensioners on 6 December.
According to Treasury Minister Simon Lizardo, who met with the President yesterday morning, Monday 11 November, an additional RD$9.5 billion will be made available to meet this commitment.
The President attended the usual Monday morning meeting at the Treasury accompanied by the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, Jose Ramon Peralta and his personal assistant, Carlos Pared Perez.
