The 3rd Dominican Republic Professional Golf Open will take place at Teeth of the Dog in La Romana this year. The tournament is scheduled for May 2014. Cash prize money of US$150,000 has been set aside. The tournament is operated under the PGA Tour Latin America (Nec Series Tour). PGA Tour Latinoamerica president Jack Warfield was in Santo Domingo last Tuesday, 12 November to make the announcement. The PGA has been backing the Dominican Republic Open for the past two years.
