Yesterday, Monday 18 November, President Danilo Medina swore in double-Olympic gold medal winner, Felix Sanchez as Goodwill Ambassador for the Dominican Republic, under the Ministry of Foreign Relations. The appointment had been made in May 2013, but Sanchez’s sporting commitments had prevented him from visiting for the swearing-in ceremony until now. Sanchez won the 400 hurdles in the 2004 Athens Olympics and the 2012 London Olympics.
