The Constitutional Court has revoked 14 articles of resolution 086-11 that had ordered telecom providers to keep a register of data open to state investigators to resolve crimes and hi-tech offices without an order from a judge.
The highest Dominican court ruled that the articles were in violation of the Constitution. A complaint had been placed by Namphi Rodriguez and Jose Rafael Molina Morillo, from the Press and Rights Foundation and the Dominican Republic Freedom of Expression Center calling for the annulment of the articles of Resolution 086-11.
