The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reports that a low-pressure trough over Haiti will continue to bring rain showers during the morning hours in the southwest, the center of the country, Samana Bay and in some areas of the eastern Dominican Republic. The low-pressure area will then move east-northeastwards in the afternoon, coming closer to local territory and increasing rainfall over the northeast, southwest, the central Cibao Valley and some of the areas in the east. According to Onamet: “The rest of the working week will see showers in the north, northeast and the central part of the country.”
