Appointed US Ambassador James (Wally) Brewster is showing he will not be your usual ambassador. He has published a video with his introduction to the Dominican people on the US Embassy website in the Dominican Republic. He says that he and his spouse Bob have traveled the world “but we always return to the beauty of the Dominican Republic.” He says that he sees many opportunities for increasing trade and economic opportunities, improving the rule of law and increasing academic and cultural exchanges. “We are great fans of baseball,” he comments and says nothing was more exciting than watching the Dominican team win the World Baseball Classic.
