The Banking Superintendence has authorized the charging of 1% on credit and debit cards that are used outside the country starting on 1 December
The Banking Superintendent, Rafael Camilo, said that the banks were authorized to levy the 1% in compensation for the reductions on credit card borrowing now being made by the banks.
