The Santo Domingo city government opened its Bright Christmas display of lights at the Parque Iberoamerica located on Av. Bolivar yesterday, Sunday 1 December. The city government has installed 27 million lights in 400 trees over a one-kilometer stretch. It expects three million visitors. Mayor Roberto Salcedo said he got the idea when visiting Disneyworld with his grandchildren.
