Officers of the Central Criminal Investigation Department (DICRIM) and members of the Public Prosecution office have begun investigations into the death of three people whose bodies were found yesterday morning, Monday 2 December in a farmhouse in the La Cumbre area around 500 meters from the Duarte Highway.
They were identified as Grabiel Arcangel Lanfranco (Pantaleon), 75, who died as a result of blows to the head and had been stabbed and whose feet were bound, as were those of his wife, Mercedes Molina Montilla, 53, who had been strangled. Grabiel’s sister, Francisca Lanfranco Santos (Barina), 42 who died from blunt force trauma was also found at the scene. The Villa Altagracia police say that the incident happened several days ago, and that the victims had been living there for around 30 years.
The perpetrators took a 12mm shotgun from the house, and so far two people have been arrested.
Local people have asked the police to increase patrols in the area due to the increase in the level of crime.
