For the holidays, the curfew that limited sale of alcohol to midnight from Sunday through Thursday and to 2am on Friday, Saturday and holidays is being lifted tomorrow, Tuesday 10 December through 8 January, after the Three Kings holiday. This means partying at bars, restaurants, and discos can continue for unlimited hours. It also means that extra care needs to be given to avoid being a victim of drunk driving. Minister of Interior and Police Jose Ramon Fadul said that rules that establish a ban on entering into bars, discos or restaurant with firearms, and a ban on minors in bars and discos is not affected. Doctors had called on the government to maintain the curfew, because of the dangers of drunk driving.
