The Dominican Tourism Police (Politur) is now being replaced by the Specialized Tourism Corps (Cestur) after several ministries signed an agreement yesterday, Monday 16 December. The new offices of Cestur will be located at the intersection between Gustavo Mejia Ricart Avenue and Teodoro Chasseriaux Street in El Millon, Santo Domingo. The ministers of Tourism, Interior & Police, Environment, Public Works and Defense signed the agreement that commits them to working jointly to enhance comprehensive security for travelers. Minister of Tourism welcomed the creation of the specialized force.
