The Police have announced a new National Plan for Quadrant Community Surveillance. The plan seeks to reduce crime, contributing to citizen safety, while strengthening relations and trust with citizens. The program is being carried out with support and advice from officers from the Colombian Police who gave a workshop to train Dominican police for the program. The plan seeks to prevent, dissuade and react to crime. The plan is headed by Police chief, Major General Manuel Castro Castillo and General Romer Lopez, National District commander.
