Only two people were guarding the minibus that was transporting RD$38 million to pay remittances, reports El Dia today, Thursday 16 January. The news that RD$38 million had been stolen from a Caribe Express vehicle was released yesterday, Wednesday 15 January. As reported, the authorities suspect it was an inside job. Four company employees have been arrested, including the two occupants of the minibus, one of whom is a police sergeant. The driver and two guards were intercepted by five individuals dressed in military garb.
