The premiere of the Dominican-made film, “Duarte: Treason and Glory” directed by Leo Silverio opens on Thursday, 30 January at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Santo Domingo. The film was produced on the occasion of the celebrations of the 200th anniversary Duarte’s birth. Sunday, 26 January 2014 was the 201st anniversary. Leading Dominican actor Ivan Garcia stars in the role of the aging Duarte, while Josue Guerrero plays him in his early years.
