Everton has announced that it will be acquiring the Ampliacion Pueblo Viejo, Ponton and La Cueva gold mining concessions. The announcement comes at a time when the Medina government has made it clear internationally that it backs increased mining in the Dominican Republic.
Everton is actively exploring in the Dominican Republic next to the Pueblo Viejo Mine, owned by the world’s two largest gold mining companies, Barrick Gold Company (60%) in partnership with Goldcorp Inc. (40%).
