The Customs department has announced a pilot plan for a one-stop shop facility for foreign trade starting next week. Gregorio Lora Arias, advisor to the Department, said that several public and private entities still needed to synchronize their computer systems for it to be fully operational, which will require both time and investment in equipment. The pilot program includes the ministries of Hacienda, Agriculture and Public Health and the Department of Taxes.
