Naphtal Manana, ambassador of South Africa for the Dominican Republic visited Foreign Relations Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso yesterday, Tuesday 4 March and discussed the possibility of opening a South African embassy in the country. The countries formalized relations in 2002, but the South African ambassador covering the DR is based in Havana. The Dominican Republic has an embassy in South Africa. The ambassador also addressed cultural and cooperation activities between both countries.
