The Dominican travel industry is meeting at the brand new Paradisus Palma Real Convention Center in Punta Cana for the 15th Annual Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE). This year, the Ministry of Tourism and the National Hotel & Tourism Association (Asonahores), the event sponsors, will be focusing on attracting more meetings and events to the Dominican Republic.
The event takes place on 26, 27 and 28 March.
The new Paradisus Palma Real Convention Center seeks to attract a good share of the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events that have already made Punta Cana a leading MICE destination in the Caribbean.
The new Paradisus Palma Real center has a hall for up to 1,400 persons, and the largest single space is 1,698 square meters (17,760 square feet). It offers 14 rooms and is right next to the Palma Real Shopping Village.
DATE is expecting around 100 leading tour operators, wholesalers, media and other travel related companies to attend the event and meet local travel product and service vendors.
