The Senate has approved a US$71.8 million loan to finance the completion of the Azua II-Pueblo Viejo irrigation project in Azua. The project is the responsibility of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INDRHI). The funds will be provided by the Brazilian government export agency BNDES and the work will be carried out by a Brazilian company, Constructora Queiroz Galvao S.A
