The coach of the Dominican Republic team in the World Basketball Championship, 40-year old Orlando Antigua has been appointed coach of the South Florida University of the NCAA league. He is the first Dominican to be appointed. He has served as assistant coach working with John Calipari from 2008 at Memphis and then as of 2009 at the University of Kentucky. At present Antigua is playing the Final Four with Kentucky.
