The Public Prosecutor has set bail at RD$10 million and has imposed a travel, against public relations guru Wladimir Lendof. Lendof is accused of tax evasion and is being detained at the Palacio de Justicia in Ciudad Nueva.
According to the details of the case, Lendof was arrested after it was revealed by the Department of Taxes (DGII) that he has been in arrears since 2009. However, Carlos Olivares, the lawyer of Lendof, proclaims his client’s innocence and that he will be exonerated when the case comes to trial.
