There are several VIP airport lounges serving departing passengers at Las Americas International Airport (SDQ).
The newest is the Banco del Progreso and American Express lounge. American Express Platinum and Centurion (black) cardholders get the VIP treatment at the lounge that is located at Terminal B, facing Gate B4. The facility has been open since October 2013. It serves passengers from 6am to 10pm daily.
The American Express platinum cardholders lounge is open to passengers traveling on all airlines. Services offered are WiFi Internet access, no charge for local calls, a meeting room for 6 persons, coffee, water and snacks (croissants in the morning, cookies, mini sandwiches and granola bars in the afternoon). Full bar services and restaurant with a varied menu are available for pay. Lounge entry is complimentary for the American Express platinum cardholder and up to three guests. Las Americas International Airport also offers the VIP lounge services of Copa Airlines in the same Terminal B area. These are primarily for Copa Airline lounge member passengers, but Priority Pass cardholders also are admitted with no charge. Tel 809 549-1058
A third, VIP Caribe lounge is open daily in Terminal A. It is located at the premises of the former Iberia Club and is for Priority Pass cardholders. Included in the services at this lounge are snacks, beer, whisky, vodka and rum, soft drinks. There is a room for smoking. Magazines and local and international media are available. The lounge is located to the right of the security and passport control after the shopping area. Number of guests will depend on the Priority Pass plan of the cardholder.
