The Ministry of Public Works reported it repaired the seven kilometer land stretch that leads to Bahia de las Aguilas beach in Pedernales. But early reports from Pedernales say that the road over the hill to Bahia de las Aguilas should only be tackled by those with SUVs. The alternative to the road is to go by boat. The Ministry of Public Works had used heavy road construction equipment in an attempt to level out the treacherous access road to the beach. The works were carried out in time for the Easter Week, the peak domestic travel holiday.
