DR Golf Open in Casa de Campo this week

Teeth of the Dog in Casa de Campo is hosting the Dominican Republic Golf Open, the leading golf tournament to be held this year. Cash prize for the event is US$150,000. The tournament is operated under the PGA Tour Latin America (NecSeries Tour). Players are likely to represent Latin American countries in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics now that golf is an Olympic sport.

Teeth of the Dog by Pete Dye is one of the legendary golf courses in the Americas, consistently ranked among the best in the region.

The tournament begins with an open qualifying round for unranked players on 12 May, to be followed by a practice round on Tuesday and pro-am tournament on Wednesday 14 May. Championship play is Thursday through Sunday, 15-18 May.
