The director of Bahia Cruise Services, Federico Schad announces that three mid-sized luxury cruise ships will be arriving in Samana for the 2014-2015 season. These are Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Silversea Cruises and Oceania Cruises.
New for this year also is Costa Crociere line’s Costa Mediterranea that will be arriving from Miami, Florida. The cruise ship has capacity for 2,680 passengers. Other big cruise ships planning to moor in Samana Bay are Celebrity Cruises, Aida Cruises and Holland America Line.
Schad estimates Samana could receive 54,000 cruise ship passengers this season that begins in November 2014 and ends in April 2015.
