Talk of the town is the sales sign used by drug vendors in San Francisco de Macoris. The narcotics, their misspelled common names and their prices are listed on the sign.
‘Perico’ RD$650 & RD$450, ‘Grasa’ RD$750, ‘Krac’ RD$450, ‘Piedra’ RD$90.
‘Yelba’ was offered for 20 x RD$200, and 10 for RD$200.
The San Francisco police dismantled the ring on Sunday, 1 June 2014 and removed the sign. The sales point was located in Rabo de Chivo sector. As reported, the vendors would warn each other about the presence of suspicious people on their cell phones. Although the agents confiscated the sign, no arrests were made and no drugs were seized. A thread in the dr1 forum provides the English terms for the drugs.
