A report from the Camara de Cuentas that audits institutions receiving government funds says that 88.5% of the non-governmental organizations that receive taxpayer money presented incomplete accounts reports. The Chamber of Accounts says that only 11.5% of the non-profits presented the required monthly accountability reports for around RD$1.5 billion in funds assigned.
